Product Information
The eyescreen® ME3204 is a colour P-OLED QVGA (320 x RGB x 240) microdisplay with 230K dots and a compact 6 mm (0.24”) diagonal pixel array. It is mounted on a flex assembly to enable simplified design-in to end products. Already incorporated into a range of near-to-eye applications, the eyescreen® ME3204 is ideal for portable light-weight video glasses for personal media players and for watching TV via mobile phone on the move.
The tiny eyescreen® has class-leading visual quality and it displays outstanding moving video images that are free from the distracting flicker and blurring that is often seen with other microdisplays. The very high optical contrast ratio of the eyescreen® gives pictures with a vivid 3-D like appearance and the eyescreen® is effectively free from any visible pixelation or ‘chicken wire effect’ due to the this P-OLED microdisplay’s high fill factor.
The P-OLED technology upon which eyescreen® ME3204 is based is emissive and does not require a backlight component, resulting in ultra-low power consumption and prolonged battery life. The eyescreen® ME3204 has a 2 wire serial interface and runs off a single 2.5 V supply.
The highly integrated design of the eyescreen®, with BT.656 and serial RGB digital interfaces, has display drivers built into the silicon microdisplay chip, eliminating the need for additional driver IC components. This innovative design feature saves space, power and cost of additional components when compared to traditional LCD displays and enables product design engineers using the eyescreen® to create the stylish, lighter-weight, lower power consuming products of the future.
