Bill Miller was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in October 2005. He joined MED as Chief Operating Officer in July 2005. Prior to this Bill was Vice President and General Manager for Motorola’s UK Semiconductor operations. As a member of the European Leadership Team he was primarily active in defining and implementing regional strategies leading to impressive business results in a $1.5B sales organisation. Following the separation of this business and its re-branding as Freescale Semiconductors, he served a dual role, continuing to lead the UK Operations but additionally serving as Country Head for UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain. As a board member of Motorola UK Ltd, reporting to the UK Chairman, Bill had broad exposure to all areas of Motorola’s businesses and extensive experience including the start up of a major manufacturing operation in Hong Kong and the management of a large P&L within the UK and internationally. In a career spanning 21 years, Bill has served many roles in diverse areas of increasing responsibility. He is a Chartered Engineer (IEE) and has a degree in Engineering and Business Studies. |
| Graeme N Walker, Finance Director |

Graeme N Walker joined MED as Finance Director in April 2006. Before this, Graeme was at Freescale Semiconductor Inc., one of the largest chipmakers in the US and a constituent of the S&P 500, where he headed up its European finance function as Chief Financial Officer EMEA. Prior to joining Freescale, Graeme held several positions within Rolls Royce Plc’s Tax and Treasury departments. He has an MA Honours in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Graeme is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. |
| David Walker, Director of Operations |

David Walker was appointed as Director of Operations in September 2007. He joined MED as Engineering Manager in mid-2005. Prior to joining MED, David worked for Motorola for 17 years as an Engineer, a member of the technical staff and Engineering Manager. David has 22 years of operations experience in the semi-conductor manufacturing industry, including the start-up of high volume facilities from Greenfield sites. He is an advocate of Six Sigma methodology, including Statistical Process Control and lean manufacturing techniques. David studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering and holds an MSc in Corporate Leadership. |
| Professor Ian Underwood FRSE, Chief Scientific Adviser and Co-Founder |

Ian Underwood is a co-founder of MED and co-inventor of its P-OLED microdisplay technology. Prior to 1999 he was at The University of Edinburgh where he carried out pioneering research and development in the field of liquid crystal microdisplays between 1983 and 1999. He is a Fulbright Fellow (1991), Photonics Spectra Circle of Excellence designer (1994), British Telecom Fellow (1997), Ben Sturgeon Award winner (1999), Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2003), Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (2004), and Gannochy Medal winner (2004). As Chief Scientific Advisor, he is responsible for putting in place projects and programs to ensure that MED’s future products will continue to meet the challenge of fast moving markets and innovative customers. He is recognized worldwide as an authority on microdisplay technology, systems and applications. In 2005, Ian was named Professor of Electronic Displays at The University of Edinburgh. In addition to his full-time post at MED, he sits on the Council of the Scottish Optoelectronics Association and the Steering Committee of ADRIA (Europe’s Network in Advanced Displays). He is co-author of a recently released book entitled Introduction to Microdisplays. |
